The Cleveland Volcano is located on Mt. Cleveland in the Aleutian Islands, Alaska. The Cleveland Volcano plume can be seen from a plane 17.5 nautical miles east-southest of the volcano at an altitude of 8,550 feet! Friday, January 18, 2008, there was a minor ash emission from the volcano, and Friday, February 8, 2008, the volcano erupted with a plume 20,000 feet above sea level.
